J. Cole Davis is an Associate with the Firm. His practice is focused on local government law, employment law, civil litigation and insurance defense.
His practice is focused on a wide range of local government representation and civil litigation with an emphasis on labor and employment disputes, workplace discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, commercial business litigation, local government disputes, personal injury and wrongful death cases, and workers' compensation defense.
Cole currently serves as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Panama City Beach and represents other local governments in a wide range of matters including the Bay County School Board, the City of Lynn Haven, and the City of Mexico Beach.
Cole enjoys counseling clients to solve tough issues and enthusiastically litigates for them when necessary. Cole has represented employers in both federal, state court, the Florida District Court of Appeals, and before numerous government agencies - including the DOL, EEOC, and FCHR. Additionally, Cole has represented employers in audits performed by the Division of Financial Services Workers' Compensation Division.
Cole is a native of Panama City Beach, and after earning his Bachelor's degree from Florida State University, Cole spent two years with Bay District Schools as a third grade teacher. Cole went on to graduate from Florida State University's College of Law before moving home to the Panama City area.
